There's so many different ways that you can get a yeast infection. Among the possibilities include using oral contraceptive pills, using oral steroids, due to have your period, being a diabetic, use of applications like soap, douche, hygiene products, and wearing clothing that is damp and/or warm. There are a number of solutions to treat the infection. But unknown to many, eating the correct diet to treat yeast infection is also a very good idea.  If you have a yeast infection of the mouth you really want to deal with it.

When treating a yeast infection using a diet, then we should really be refering to it as a detox. The reason a yeast infection occurs is because of a microorganism, that has grown too much in your body, your doctor will call this microorganism Candida albicans.  There are many ways you can do a body detox.

One of the basic requirements in diet programs is drinking adequate amounts of water. Water is an important aspect of detoxing. It helps flush out the toxins inside the body. In addition to water, drinking fresh fruit juices and even tea be added to the liquid intake. But emphasis is given to drinking at least eight glasses of water per day.

Eating a diet full of fresh food is also a very good idea. It would be best to void processed and highly fatty foods, not only for your yeast infection but to keep your body healthy on a daily basis. Avoid overcooking your food too. Foods have a tendency to loose much of its nutrients when heat is applied so be sure to cook your food just right. Steamed and sautéed would be the ideal cooking preparations. By eating a raw salad you will be able to avoid any nutrient loss too. Although in saying that, there are some sweet flavored vegetables which should be avoided such as carrots, corn, potatoes, onions, and sweet potatoes.

Eat a lot of garlic. The reason is because garlic is naturally rich in antibacterial compounds which help to eliminate yeast infection. Be generous with your fresh greens and limit your intake of meat. Fish, beef, lamb, poultry and eggs are okay in moderation.
